  • What is a Goldendoodle?
Goldendoodles are a designer crossbreed between a Golden Retriever and a Standard Poodle. While orginally bred as companion dogs, Goldendoodles have found significant success as therapy dogs, guide dogs, service dogs, and all other kinds of assistance dogs.
  • What are the classifications of Goldendoodles? (F1, F1B, etc)"
F1 - a first generation Doodle, these dogs are products of a pure Retriever bred to a pure Poodle. The result is a dog that is 50% Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever. Many F1's still shed so are best suited for a home with only light allergies. F1B - this is a crossbreed of an F1 Goldendoodle with a Poodle. This is a highly sought after classification of Goldendoodle because the non-shedding trait occurs 99% of the time. This generation is the most hypoallergenic Goldendoodle. An F1B dog has the same strength, good health and favorable personality traits. There is more color variations in the F1B generations, with coats varying from long and wavy to short and curly. F2 - a second generation Doodle, these dogs are products of two F1 Goldendoodle parents. Light shedding will most likely occur with this generation and will resemble an F1 in looks and coat charateristics. F2B - this indicates that there is a mix of generations also referred to as multigenerational doodles. It would be the result of an F1 Goldendoodle and an F1B Goldendoodle. While less common, they are still a great generation. The non-shedding quality appears in this generation, while still maintaining the good traits of personality and good health.
  • I would like to find a therapy dog, emotional support dog, or service dog for myself or for my child. Would your puppies suit this purpose?"
We believe all of our puppies have the temperaments and genetic potential to become certified companions. However, for our puppies that have not undergone professional training, it remains just that: potential. It is your responsibility to continue training after they go home.
  • I have allergies. Can you guarantee I won't react?
We can't give a 100% guarantee on allergies. Some people with severe allergies can react to things beyond a dog's coat, such as saliva, which is obviously impossible to breed out of a dog. Have you been around Poodles before? How did you react? Poodles are the purest from of hypoallergenic dogs and would be a good gauge for your reaction to a Goldendoodle.

  • What are Goldendoodles best suited for?
The Goldendoodle is a highly versatile dog. Their intelligence, obedience and trainability create a winning combination for a dog that can be equally at home as a service dog or as a beloved family companion due to thier affectionate and gentle nature. They are excellent dogs for families with young children, and can also be the best adventurous buddy for an active individual. In short, one of our Goldendoodle puppies is suited for anything its owner desires it to be!
  • Is a deposit ever refundable?
All deposits are non-refundable. If you have a deposit on a particular puppy and no longer desire that dog, you may transfer your deposit to another available puppy. All deposits do count towards the final price.
  • Are male or female puppies better?
It is our belief that the majority of gender differences dissapear once the puppy is spayed or neutered. You can't go wrong with either.
  • What does non-shedding really mean?
All mammals shed, even humans! However there is a distinct difference between a Poodle (or human) and a Golden Retriever that blows their coat. A Poodle will lose strands of hair with determined brushing, so you may find hair here and there but it certainly won't cover your couch in hair and require you to wear clothing that is the same color as your dog.
